Amazon Kindle Fire Android Tablet

The Amazon Kindle Fire Android Tablet could be the next best thing to getting (or not getting) an IPad. The reason for this is that, even though the kindle fire does not appear to be trying to over take the top market share position that the IPad 1 & 2 have dominated since there introduction back in 2010.

They do appear to be a perfect solution to fill a gap where people may want to invest in getting a tablet device to experience first hand some of the benefits that they offer, without having to pay the higher price for the IPad devices.

Here are some of the benefits of the Amazon Kindle Fire Android Tablet

Operating system - The kindle fire will be running on a customized version of the Android 2.3 os, which is perfect for users who prefer the Android operating platform over the Apples iOS. It will also include an intergraded cloud web browser developed by Amazon to make web browsing even faster with this new integrated browsing technology call Silk.

It is being built with a dual-core processor with a processing speed of 1GHz which is just as fast as the IPad2’s A5 dual-core processor.

It only has 8GB of storage and no option to upgrade, so if you think you might need more storage, then this device would not be a good choice for you. If however you are looking to use the device for mostly online activities and not alot of downloading or storage needs, then this device is perfect for that.

It does have a smaller 7in touch screen display then the IPad2’s 9.7in screen, so you will need to decide if you really need those 2.7 extra inches or not ? It also does not include webcams like the IPad 2 does.

It does have a built-in USB connect and it has 8 hours of battery life. It does not have the option for 3g connectivity but it does have the Wi-Fi options. In addition to having access to apps through the Google Android App Market, you will also have access to the Amazon App Store which includes thousands of games and apps.

If cost is your primary concern as to which tablet might be best for you, then this is where the Amazon Kindle Fire Android Tablet shines. Instead of costing you $499.00 which is the starting price tag for the ipad2 (and it goes up from there) you can get a brand new Amazon Kindle Fire Android Tablet for only $199.00 not bad.
